Student Council

The Student Council at Glenart College aims to provide a formal arena for students to become involved, to be given responsibility and to work in partnership with school management, staff and parents for the benefit of the school and its students. Student Council meetings take place each week during lunchtime. Each year representatives from the council attend the annual Comhairle na nOg Youth Consultation Day .This year our students discussed the issues of youth homelessness, cyber-bullying and mental health. The student council members run the school tuck shop. Ultimately, the student council develops a sense of belonging and student involvement at Glenart College and creates opportunities for the development of leadership, responsibility and improved communication between staff and students.
