Arklow Enterprise Town
We are delighted to be hosting Arklow Enterprise Town for the Bank of Ireland on Saturday the 7th of October. We are looking forward to welcoming businesses and community groups to Glenart College.

CIDESCO World Congress
Dorothy Lawlor, Beauty Therapy Course Coordinator at Glenart College and Vice President of CIDESCO Ireland recently travelled to the 71st World Congress and Exhibition in Mumbai, India. This was a fantastic opportunity for Dorothy to be part of the world’s prominent meeting for presenting and gathering the latest information on Health, Personal Care, Wellness, Spa and Beauty.

Student Council
Student Council Elections will take place on Friday the 29th of September. Prior to elections this year all candidates must present their election speech in the GPA outlining their reasons for presenting for election. The current council are still busily working away on planning events for Stand Up Week 2017 and their upcoming trip to the Comhairle na nOg AGM. They also presented an update of their ongoing work at the recent Board of Management meeting.

Mindful Colouring
An opportunity has been given to students to engage in the process of Mandala’s or mindful colouring.This is taking place in the Meditation Room every Friday at lunch. This experience has be proven to promote creativity, reduce stress , encourage self-expression and is also a lot of fun.

Extra Extra curricular activities!
This year we are happy to announce some new sports to our extra curricular programme. Students will be afforded the chance to participate and  compete in orienteering, rugby, golf and equestrian events. At this point we would like to thank Lookout Equestrian centre and Arklow RFC for their support in helping to get these activities off the ground. We look forward to starting new activities and programmes in the future and enhancing our links with the community and continue to offer our students every chance to get and stay active.

We are also hosting a sporting exhibition on Friday the 29th of Sept for our students and would like to invite all local clubs, societies and groups to forward information or send a representative on the day to give students information about their club, society or groups.

Early Childhood Care and Education
Our fulltime Early Childhood Care and Education course has commenced and our adult learners are settling in nicely. We do have some spaces available for late applicants. They are welcome to contact the college at 0402 32149.QQI Office Administration

This year’s QQI Office Administration Level 5 course is up and running. A very positive start has been made with course numbers increasing due to the success of last year’s students either attaining full employment or having successfully moved onto further Third Level education. There are still a number of limited places available. Learners will be prepared for the world of work having attained full accreditation from the National QQI Awarding body.

Autumn Night Classes.
