Due to the government directive issued today 12-3-2020, Glenart College will close today at 6pm and remain closed until March 29th.

An announcement was made this morning by the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar TD of the closure from Friday 13 March, of schools, pre-schools and further and higher education settings, for a period until 29 March 2020, to support efforts to contain the spread of Covid-19.
All students are asked to empty their lockers today at 4pm and bring all books, copies, folders, project work and PE gear home with them. Parents can access Glenart College tomorrow, 13/3/2020 between 9 and 11am to collect forgotten items. Any sports bags not collected will be disposed of after 11am tomorrow as part of the schools deep clean process.
Teachers will use our online technology enhanced learning platform FIREFLY or through the students email account, to provide work for students. All students of Glenart College have access to FIREFLY and email through home computers, laptops, tablets and mobile phones. Students are asked to complete the work set online as normal in their copies, workbook, on drawing paper and in folders etc, they can then photograph this work and upload it to be corrected by their teachers. A FIREFLY help sheet link will appear on our school website for any student that might experience difficulties.
Parents are asked to contact the school if students or family members contract Covid-19. The school office will take calls between 9 & 11am daily.
Glenart School Paris trip – We are awaiting proposals on either postponement or cancellation. We will be in touch as soon as we receive the appropriate information.
