Information & Registration Evening 18th September from 7 to 8pm



COMPUTER FOR BEGINNERS Monday 7-9pm (8 weeks). Cost €80

This course is specifically designed for individuals that are new to computers or want to gain confidence in using a computer for many day to day tasks. Topics covered include keyboard skills, Microsoft word, emails, attaching documents and pictures and much more. This course will also cover Excel which is used in accounts and budgeting.

COOKING WITH PAT LALOR Monday 7-9pm (8 weeks). Cost €80

Do you have an interest in learning to cook simple tasty meals with a professional chef? This eight week course is designed to teach you everything from the best use of fresh ingredients, meal planning with easy to follow recipes with themes such as Easy Italian Cooking, ethnic cuisine and classic recipes for dishes especially designed for cooking for friends and family. Cost of supplied ingredients will be an extra cost (TBC).

MINDFULNESS Monday 7-9pm (8 weeks). Cost €80

Mindfulness provides you with the tools to destress and live in the present moment. This course will help train your mind in order to improve your wellbeing and live a more fulfilled life.

INTERIOR DESIGN Monday 7-9pm (8 weeks). Cost €80

This course is for those who are looking for tips and ideas to make the most of their home. It will teach you how to breathe new life into your abode looking at revamping old pieces of furniture, clever lighting ideas and using colour effectively. Students will also learn how to create mood boards and tap into your own individual ideas.

CREATIVE WRITING Monday 7-9pm (8 weeks). Cost €80

If you want to be a writer – you must write! It is amazing how much you learn when other people read your work. This creative writing course will give you focus. It will get all the stuff out of your head and into the room. A creative writing course can turn your story into a ‘thing’ that can be dismantled and remade. Writing is a process. It goes only one way; from the inside out. So just bring yourself and a pen, your courage and the whole world of your imagination because the only way to become a better writer is by writing! Monday 8-10pm.

FIRST AID Monday 7-9pm (8 weeks). Cost €80

This course will cover the following: • Accident scene management & casualty assessment
• Control of bleeding & treatment of wounds and shock
• Unconsciousness
• Heart Attack & Cardiac Arrest
• Recovery position
• CPR – adults, children and infants
• Injuries to bones, joints and soft tissues
• Burns & scalds
• Choking

SOLID WORKS (3D CAD)

Using the 3D “Solidworks” CAD software programme, this course will provide learners with a basic understanding of how to create parts, assemblies and full working drawings ideal for those interested in product design, engineering and architecture. This course will be suitable for CAD beginners and learners who have experience of other CAD packages.

ART Monday 7-9pm (8 weeks). Cost €80

Whether you are a complete beginner or returning to the world of painting this class is for you. Each class will have an element of theory included in order to understand the basics as well as developing your skill.


SPANISH Monday 7-9pm (8 weeks). Cost €80

Are you a regular visitor to a Spanish speaking country or just have a love of learning languages what not enroll for this class.

FRENCH Monday 7-9pm (8 weeks). Cost €80

This class will help you learn or improve your conversational French and will suit beginners or those whose French is rusty!

SIGN LANGUAGE Monday 7-9pm (8 weeks). Cost €80

QQI LEVEL 5 - EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND PLAY Monday 7-10pm (10 weeks). Cost €260

This course will suit learners interested in Childcare. The course introduces the learner to the theories of play, Course code (5N1773)

QQI LEVEL 5 - HUMAN GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT Tuesday 7-10pm (10 weeks). Cost €260

This course is designed for learners who have an interest in working in areas such as community and or social care. The course introduces learners to human development and behaviour from infancy to old age. Course code: (5M2009)

CERTIFICATE IN SKIN TREATMENT (Monday) & CERTIFICATE IN MAKE-UP (Tuesday)

This course offers students a wonderful opportunity to become a fully qualified facial therapist and make up artist and pursue a career in Beauty Therapy. The awarding bodies ITEC and CIBTAC are internationally recognised. This is a combined course and students must attend both Monday and Tuesday from 7- 10pm over the course of the year for 25 weeks. • Enrolments can be made online, over the phone or in the school office during school hours
• Courses commence week beginning Monday September 25th 2017
• Students holding a full medical card are exempt from QQI Certification fees
• Admission to courses is confined to those over 16 years who have left full-time second level education
• Courses will only be formed when there is sufficient enrolled applicants
• Fees are non refundable once a course has commenced
• In the case of the cancellation of a course payments will be refunded
• All fees must be paid on or before the registration
• The school reserves the right to close a course or to modify it in any manner it deems suitable at any time
• The provision of classes may vary during midterm breaks
• Responsibility cannot be accepted for loss or damage of property of students
